Steven Eglinton

Steven is a thought leader in the innovative use of Information Management and data visualisation solutions – his specialisms being Asset Information Management and Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Infrastructure organisations, often in the Rail Sector.

He understands that true end-to-end solutions require more than technology alone, but require innovative thinking, end-user engagement, clear processes, senior management backing and strong leadership.

Steven is Director of GeoEnable, an Information Management consultancy, who specialise in Asset Management, their clients have included Network Rail, London Underground and Transport for London (TfL). His most recent role as Project Manager with TfL, leading the technology stream for the development of a ‘Common Data Environment’ (CDE).

Steven is Chairman of the Association for Geographic Information’s Asset Management group and British Computer Society’s Business Information Systems group. He is also International GIS Committee Coordinator for Iracambi, a conservation organisation based in Brazil. Steven is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the British Cartographic Society, as well as a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and the Permanent Way Institution (the institution for rail infrastructure engineers).
