Rose is a Consumer Insight Specialist at Energy Systems Catapult, helping to discover what vulnerable consumers will need from a low carbon energy system. Rose sits within the Consumer Insight team at ESC that helps innovators understand what people need from the energy system. The team combines cutting-edge data science, user experience design thinking and in depth consumer data to help innovators see beyond what people say and understand what they do.

Rose has spent the last 9 years working on justice, vulnerability and energy behaviour to bring an understanding of the everyday experience of fuel poor households into the design and implementation of new policies, products and services that will support decarbonisation of the energy system. Rose has a background in social sciences and research, with PhD from Lancaster University which looked at how policy and community action plays into the lived experience of fuel poverty for older households in England.
