Robert is the Head of Data Science at Yorkshire Water and has been with the company for 18 years.

After gaining a degree in Mathematics, Robert has held a variety of positions at Yorkshire Water largely focussing on utilising data and analysis. These include working as a Statistician and leading teams with a focus on asset performance, operational efficiency and data improvement.

He has worked across many areas of the business and has experience of Operations, Asset Planning, Price Reviews and Regulation.

Robert has created and grown the Data Science department with a focus on delivering actionable insight, confidence and assurance to the business. The department combines existing methods with new and emerging approaches including Open Data, Hackathons and Machine Learning.
