Richard Channell is Technology Director of the Telecoms & M2M Division at Arqiva. In this role he has overall technical design responsibility for delivery of the communications network for Smart Metering in the North of England and Scotland, as well as leading the technology strategy to grow a successful business in the broader Internet of Things field. Richard is a Chartered Engineer with an extensive background in delivering digital communications networks and software engineering solutions. Throughout Richard’s career he has held technical leadership roles with responsibility for the convergence of information and digital communications technologies.
