Paul has eight years experience in water metering, and has been employed by Anglian Water for more than twenty. Paul’s role in AMP6 is to conduct and appraise trials of radio meters, and identify the benefits of moving from dumb to smart.
Paul is convinced that metering is the fairest way of charging for water, and supports Anglian Water’s policy of gently persuading domestic customers to have a measured bill. Paul believes that radio meters could benefit both customer and company. Having led Anglian Water’s Water Display project – where Anglian Water provided customers with an ‘in-house display’ for water, Paul knows that customers value data, provided it is in the correct form; and that information can alter their behaviour as a result.
So, with radio water meter development still in its early stages, Paul is pleased to be involved – and anxious to learn from the experiences of others.
