Mike is the Head of UK Energy Networks at Capgemini. He has nearly 30 years’ GB and international power sector experience, at National Grid, Enron, and as a consultant in over 20 countries worldwide, covering all aspects of power networks and their interaction with wholesale markets and other power sector stakeholders.

He has also been a Special Advisor to the energy regulator, Ofgem, on Energy Networks and Price Controls, and has led numerous regulatory, operational and due diligence reviews of power network businesses worldwide.

Since 2009, Mike has been at the forefront of analysing and understanding the transformational change and ”smart” implications of the targeted decarbonisation of the GB & European power sector; advising clients encompassing the European Commission and the UK Government, national regulators, network companies, other sector participants and financial investors.

Mike is also the Chair of the Warwick University Strategy & Consulting Network – promoting opportunities for and development of both students and career professionals in the Consulting arena, but with a personal bias for promoting the opportunities in the energy sector.
