Ian is a Behavioural Scientist with a background in consumer insight and customer experience and has worked with clients across the public and private sector. His specialisms include tracking visual attention and customer engagement in retail decision making and direct mail.
He works with The Behaviouralist, a Behavioural science consultancy, who have worked with utility and energy companies combining data science and behavioural insights to shift customer and employee behaviour. Core to their work is robust evaluation through the use of Randomised Control Trials and field tests – including work on smart meter take up. The Behaviouralist work has been featured in the Harvard Business Review and they regularly publish in peer reviewed journals.
