With a team of seasoned business people from energy, finance, technology and consumer marketing, Greg founded Octopus Energy as “ecommerce for energy”, launching in April 2016. Since then, Octopus has made a big splash with its message of sustainability, value and great service. Backed by the £6bn fund management Octopus Group, the UK’s largest investor in solar generation, Octopus are deeply committed to driving renewable energy.

Greg is passionate about using technology to bring power to consumers, in every sense of the word. A seasoned entrepreneur, Greg has deep roots in the Smart Home – Octopus recently launched a Nest rental programme, and before that Greg built a connected home business for global services business, HomeServe. Greg sits on the Executive Committee of the Octopus Group and is also a Director of Zopa, the world’s first peer-to-peer lender (now having lent nearly £2bn) and before this built and sold digital agency, C360 to Tangent.
