Carla is the Co-Founder & CTO at Ucaneo, an innovative startup based in Germany developing a pioneering Direct Air Capture technology to remove CO2 from the air. The fully electric and modular units are promising significant cost and energy reductions as well as flexible deployment. Carla originally studied Biology and Machine Learning at the LMU Munich. Her curiosity and passion for knowledge let she initiated more than 10 research projects, showcasing her commitment to leveraging technology for a brighter future. After finishing her studies she joined a vibrant startup in Berlin as first employee. Her previous work in interdisciplinary teams especially during her research efforts bridging between biology and AI, but also during her time in startups made her a focused pragmatic tech development leader. At Ucaneo, Carla is the technical Co-Founder & CTO setting technical strategy, managing the product and research directions as well shaping the overall culture and leadership efforts.
