Athena Zitrou is the Head of Business Analytics at Scottish Water, providing strategic & thought leadership for Analytics in a transforming organisation. Athena’s belief is that, for data & analytics to deliver great value, organisations should infuse analytics into daily decision-making. Athena joined Scottish Water as a Data Scientist seven years ago and has both commercial and academic experience. As a researcher, she has worked on projects in sectors such as nuclear power, coal-fired power and offshore wind. Having been initially trained in Mathematics, Athena has a PhD in Management Science from the University of Strathclyde.
