Andy is not an energy industry professional, and is quite proud of his lack of knowledge of gas meters and d-flows. He’s actually a banker by trade, and having moved from the frying pan into the fire three years ago, spends most of his days trying to encourage his colleagues at npower to think and behave like a retailer – starting with the customer, reacting to the environment quickly and looking for ways to avoid hauling on the price lever to attract and retain customers. Part of this is the launch of Powershop in the UK, which offers customers a completely new way to buy their energy and a genuinely awesome service experience.
