Andy Paton joined ElecLink in 2017 and is responsible for many of the commercial business readiness activities associated with establishing ElecLink as an operational business, connecting the markets of Great Britain and France via a 1000MW HVDC interconnector through the Channel Tunnel. Andy also works to implement into ElecLink’s business the suite of evolving European legislation which is seeking to implement a harmonised and efficient energy market across the Union.

Prior to his current role, Andy spent 7 years in the electricity industry, primarily focussed on the commercial operations and development of businesses operating HVDC cross-border connections connecting the markets of Great Britain, France, and the Netherlands.
