Last Modified: 16 October 2026

1. Our commitment to privacy

This privacy policy (‘Privacy Policy’) sets out how Marketforce Business Media Limited (‘MarketforceLive’) (‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ being interpreted accordingly) uses and protects the personal information about you that we collect or that you provide, whether through one of our websites marketforcelive.com; moneylive-insights.com; futureofutilities.com; leaders-in-logistics.com; insurance-innovators.com; go.marketforcelive.com; and acceleraterail.com (each a ‘Website’) or by other means.

2. Changes to our Privacy Policy

Any changes we may make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to our Privacy Policy.

3.1.We may collect and process personal information from you in various ways, for example if you:

  • contact us by phone, email, online using a form on a Website, face-to-face or otherwise in writing;
  • become a registered user of a Website;
  • register for a conference, training course or webinar;
  • request further information about a service or product;
  • fill out an online form for access to video content, newsletters or reports;
  • register and purchase services or products from us;
  • use the event planner on one of our event Websites to build a personalised plan for an event (see section 9);
  • participate in our discussion boards on a Website or social media platform;
  • enter a competition or prize draw;
  • complete a survey;
  • submit a job application;
  • visit our Website (please see the ‘Cookies’ section below); or

3.2.The type of personal information we collect includes your name, job title, company, postal address, email address, phone number, payment card information, personal description, photograph, dietary requirements, CV and other information about your qualifications, job history, and your right to work, if you choose to provide such details. If you use the event planner, we also collect the topics you choose, what you save to or remove from your plan, the changes you ask for, the address of the event page you were on, whether you click through to register or add your plan to a calendar, and your IP address.

3.3.Such personal information is referred to in this Privacy Policy as ‘Personal Data.’

4. Information we receive from other sources

4.1.We work closely with third parties, for example, event venues, webinar providers, accommodation, sub-contractors in payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, and may receive Personal Data about you from them.

4.2.We may record information about you that is available publicly from sources like LinkedIn, corporate websites, related industry websites and online directories. We may then research and record further details about you by contacting your company directly or searching online. If you use the event planner and choose your company, our service provider reads that company’s public website and business records to describe what the company does. That information is kept about the company, not about you.

4.3.If you use the messaging service on our Website, we have access to those communications.

4.4.If you are applying for a job at MarketforceLive, we may receive information about you from your referees and former employers.

4.5.If you use our pages on social media platforms, then we may collect any Personal Data which you provide via those platforms in accordance with the policies of the applicable platform.

5. Personal Data about other people

If you provide Personal Data to us about any person other than yourself, such as your colleagues, personnel, relatives, your next of kin, your referees (if you are applying for a job), your clients, your advisers or your suppliers, you must ensure that they have given their permission for you to disclose it to us and for us to use it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

6. Sensitive Personal Data

6.1.Unless we make it clear otherwise, our policy is not to ask for any sensitive Personal Data from you. We may, however, collect sensitive Personal Data if you provide us with it when you communicate via our Website or directly with us or via any third parties with whom we put you in contact. We may also collect sensitive Personal Data in order to provide our services to you, or to deal with your enquiries. For example, if we are making special travel arrangements for you, we may need health details.

6.2.If you choose to provide this sensitive Personal Data to us, either as part of your interaction with the Website, as part of a particular service (where such information has been requested and the reasons for that are made clear to you), or for any other reason, this will mean that you have given your consent for us to use that information for the reasons explained at the time you provide that Personal Data to us.

7. Uses we make of Personal Data

7.1.We may use the Personal Data that you provide to us or that we receive from third parties in the following ways:

  • Direct marketing purposes: where you have expressly consented to us doing so in accordance with applicable law, you have purchased services or products from us or we otherwise have a legitimate interest or legal right, we may contact you by telephone or electronic message (e.g. email or SMS) for the purposes of providing information on our services and products, or providing information on behalf of our partners. We may also contact you by post from time to time unless you have told us that you do not want to receive these communications. If you wish to update your Personal Data or opt-out of receiving further marketing communications from us get in touch at the address shown in the ‘Contact’ section below or opt-out here.
  • Transactional purposes: we may process your Personal Data to provide you with the information that you request from us, to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including managing your registration, attendance and participation at an event, which may include transferring your information to other organisations (see section headed ‘Disclosing Personal Data to third parties’ below); to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Website and services when you choose to do so; to allow you to communicate with other users and advertisers on our Website;
  • Event planning: if you use the event planner, we use your company, job title and chosen topics to build a personalised plan of exhibitors, sessions and speakers for that event; to let you change, save and email your plan; and to understand whether a registration came from a plan. If you email yourself your plan, we also use your email address and your plan to send you marketing about that event and related events. Further details are in section 9.
  • Website administration and improvement: we may process your Personal Data to manage your access to MarketforceLive content and resources, and the access by authorised users within your organisation; to ensure that content from our Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer or mobile device (see section headed ‘Cookies’); to notify you about changes to our events, products, services or Website(s); as part of our efforts to keep our Website safe and secure, including preventing misuse of interactive features such as the event planner; and for troubleshooting;
  • Marketing analysis and online marketing: to analyse Personal Data with a view to identifying how we can improve our marketing materials; provide you with products or services that can help to grow your business and send you marketing materials accordingly; to make suggestions and recommendations to you on our Website about services or goods that may interest you (please see ‘Profiling’ and ‘Cookies’ sections below); to match the email we hold for you to your Facebook account in order to target advertising to that account.
  • Internal administration and analysis: to process your job application; to administer the MarketforceLive database; data analysis, research, statistical and survey analysis; to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you;
  • Legal compliance: to comply with any relevant legal obligations.
  • Transfer to third parties: where you have requested that a sponsor contact you or have consented to a sponsor receiving your Personal Data including by your registering to view a sponsored webinar or to download a sponsored piece of content or to attend a sponsored roundtable or executive briefing, or allowing your badge to be scanned by a sponsor at one of our events or allowing your badge to be scanned upon entering a conference session in which a sponsor is speaking or is a panellist, or by your visiting a sponsor’s listing on our networking app or messaging a sponsor via our networking app or by responding to a message from a Sponsor via our networking app, or by registering to attend one of our events, we may provide your Personal Data to the sponsoring organisation concerned for them to contact you for purposes including but not limited to direct marketing, which Personal Data may include your name, job title, company, country, phone number and email address.

7.2.We may also contact you for other purposes that you consent to from time to time.

8. Profiling

8.1.Please note that we may occasionally use Personal Data to conduct profiling of individuals on our database. This will help us target communications in a more focused, efficient and cost-effective way, helping us reduce the chances of individuals receiving inappropriate or irrelevant communications. To do this profiling we:

8.1.1.may cross-check certain Personal Data against public sources (such as a company website) to get a better understanding of who the individuals on our database are;

8.1.2.combine information an event sponsor tells us about what you are interested in with Personal Data we already hold about you; and

8.1.3.track your online behaviour in response to our emails and on our Website.

8.2.If you use the event planner, automated tools, including AI models, recommend exhibitors, sessions and speakers based on your company, job title and chosen topics. Words from your job title may also be compared with counts of the job titles of past attendees at the event, and only counts of five or more people are shown in your plan. These recommendations do not have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and you can change or ignore them. If you email yourself your plan, we may also use what is in it, such as the sessions, speakers and topics you chose, to tailor the marketing we send you.

8.3.You can object to such use of your Personal Data for profiling at any time by contacting us at the address shown in the ‘Contact’ section below.

9. Event planner (Outpace by Grip)

9.1.What the planner does. Some of our event Websites offer an event planner, provided for us by Grip. You enter your company and job title, and you can also choose topics. The planner then builds a personalised plan of exhibitors, sessions and speakers for that event. You don’t need to give your name to use it.

9.2.What we collect.

  • Your company and job title, and any topics you choose. If you pick your company from the suggestions, or we already know it by that exact name, we also record your company’s website.
  • What you save to or remove from your plan, and the changes you ask for.
  • The address of the event page you were on. We don’t record anything that appears after a “?” or “#” in that address.
  • Whether you click through to register from your plan, and whether you add it to a calendar.
  • Your IP address when you search for your company or ask for or change a plan, which we use to prevent misuse. When you email yourself your plan, we store a coded form of your email address for the same reason.
  • If you ask us to email your plan to you, the address you give and when we sent it. We don’t track whether you open the email or click links in it.

Until you ask for your plan, nothing we keep is linked to you, apart from short-lived counts by IP address.

9.3.Why we use it and our lawful basis. We use this information to build, show, update and email your plan, to prevent misuse of the planner, and to understand whether a registration came from a plan. When you click Register in your plan, the registration page is told that you came from the planner, using a code that only our provider can match to your plan. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in helping visitors plan their attendance at events they are looking at, and in keeping the service secure.

If you email yourself your plan, we will also add the email address you give, together with your plan, to our marketing database. We treat your plan as a sign of interest in the event, and we may email you about that event and related MarketforceLive events, products and services (see sections 7 and 8). Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in telling people who have shown an interest in an event about that event. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us (see section 18). We never share your plan with exhibitors or sponsors.

9.4.Information stored on your device. After you get a plan, the event Website stores the plan’s link, your company and job title, and your company’s website (if we have it) in your browser’s local storage. This is not a cookie. It is how the Website shows your plan again when you return. You can remove it by clearing that Website’s data in your browser.

9.5.Who processes it. Grip processes this information for us and uses the following service providers:

  • Vercel hosts the planner, with servers in Dublin, Ireland.
  • Convex stores the data, in Ireland.
  • AI models from OpenAI (with Anthropic as a fallback) write your plan from your company, job title, topics and requests, and a model from TypeSafe sorts long lists. These models are reached through Vercel’s AI Gateway. Grip has told us that these providers keep none of the data and do not use it to train their models. They may process it in the United States.
  • Brandfetch (Switzerland) and logo.dev (United States) receive the text you type into the company search, so they can suggest companies. Brandfetch also receives your company’s website address, so it can describe the company.
  • Mailgun (United States) sends your plan by email, only if you ask it to.
  • Firecrawl reads the event’s public web pages. It receives no information about you.
  • If we run the event on Grip’s event app, words from your job title are compared with Grip’s counts of past attendees, and only counts of five or more appear in your plan.

Logos, photos and fonts in the planner load in your browser from the services that host them, and those services see your IP address. Transfers outside the UK are covered in section 12.

9.6.How long we keep it.

  • Your plan, and everything stored with it, including any email address you sent it to: until 3 years after the event ends, or 3 years after you made the plan if that is later.
  • If an event is removed from the planner, its plans are deleted with it.
  • Counts linked to your IP address or its coded form: up to one day.
  • Our provider’s hosting logs, which include your IP address and what you type into the company search: 3 days.

If you email yourself your plan, the copy of your email address held in our marketing database is kept as described in section 13.3.

9.7.Your plan’s link. Each plan has its own link. Anyone with the link can open your plan, change it and email it, so share it only with people you trust.

10. Legal obligations

10.1.We collect and process your Personal Data in accordance with applicable laws that regulate data protection and privacy. These include the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and, where they apply to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

10.2.The data controller is Marketforce Business Media Limited, whose company number is 02174487 and whose registered address is 91 Goswell Road, London EC1V 7EX, United Kingdom.

11. Disclosing Personal Data to third parties

11.1.We never sell, trade or rent Personal Data.

11.2.We may disclose your Personal Data to the extent necessary to the following third parties:

  • Third party service providers: In order to provide, communicate, market, analyse, and advertise our products, services, or events, we depend on service providers. These include providers of cloud infrastructure, marketing and data research services, hotel and venue partners, event registration partners, and event technology partners (including the event planner described in section 9). If you are enquiring about, registering for, or purchasing products, services or events from us, or ask us to make arrangements for your travel to and accommodation at an event, we may disclose your information to third parties involved in their delivery and the provision of our online systems. Any time that we use such service providers, we enter contracts to ensure that they are obliged to treat your Personal Data securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and data protection law.
  • Event partners or business partners: for information, please see the ‘Uses we make of Personal Data’ section above.
  • A purchaser of the business or business assets: if MarketforceLive, its business, or its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its users, suppliers, or customers will be one of the transferred assets;
  • Authorities, companies and advisors for legal reasons: we may disclose Personal Data to other companies and organisations for the purposes of crime prevention and fraud protection or if we are otherwise under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions (https://marketforcelive.com/terms-conditions/) or other agreements between us; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MarketforceLive, our Website users, our customers, or others;
  • Referees or employers: if you are enquiring about a job, or making an application, then we may disclose your Personal Data to third parties such as your referees, or current and previous employers (if you ask us to contact them).

11.3.We always aim to ensure that Personal Data we pass to third parties is used by them only for lawful purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Where we store your Personal Data and international transfers

12.1.The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area (‘EEA’), including by our event hosts and sponsors which may be based outside the UK. 13. Data Retention
