Steven Steer is a Principal Data Consultant at Zühlke, specialising in the energy sector. Since joining Zühlke in 2021, Steven has been instrumental in guiding clients through the complexities of data-driven transformation.

Before joining Zühlke, Steven was Head of Data at Ofgem for five years, where he led the development of regulatory frameworks that shaped the way the energy industry leverages data. He was also the architect behind the UK government’s Modernizing Energy Data (MED) program, which laid the foundation for Great Britain’s digital energy system.

Steven’s career spans a diverse range of roles, including Data Scientist in the energy sector, physicist in advanced medical device manufacturing, and various research positions at the University of Cambridge, University of Surrey, and University of Manchester.
