Richard leads uSwitch and ZPG’s engagement with its regulators and develops the policy strategy for the business in order to facilitate and make the case for greater consumer engagement and competition.

He is passionate about getting people to engage with what they may perceive to be complicated markets, including giving them the confidence to switch energy supplier.

Richard’s role at uSwitch is to ensure as many customers as possible can benefit from fully competitive markets in energy, communications and personal finance. He sees this as the most effective way of delivering better consumer outcomes, and ultimately greater productivity in the economy.

Previously Richard held policy roles at KCOM Group Plc, and Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator.
