After completing a graduate scheme with RBS and being offered his dream promotion, Nick Proctor decided that if he didn’t take the opportunity to set up his own business there and then, he probably never would. So, in 2009, seeing some of his banking clients being overcharged and underserved by their consultants, he founded amber energy® to provide a genuine alternative. Fast-forward 12 years, Nick is a member of the UK Green Building Council taskforce, and amber has grown into a 90 employee-strong business which last year became a certified B Corporation and Energy Live’s ‘Consultancy of the Year’.
