Ismini begun working at UK Power Networks in 2014 when she joined the Innovation Team. Since then, she has been involved in a number of innovation projects focusing on low voltage fault management, network monitoring, safety for overhead lines, fluid-filled cables and more recently electric vehicles (EVs) and domestic energy storage.
Her current portfolio includes the following projects: this year’s submission for UK Power Networks’ EV related NIC bid, Domestic Energy Storage and Control (DESC) and Smart Charging Architecture Roadmap.
Ismini has a MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a MSc in Sustainable Energy and Environment from Cardiff University. Following her graduation from her MSc, she commenced her career working as a Research & Development Engineer at European Thermodynamics Limited working on innovation projects focusing on thermoelectric generation and energy efficiency.
