Hugo Niesing is an Amsterdammer who has been living on his (now) sustainable boat for 33 years, the first 7 years without water, gas and electricity. That’s when his energy ambition started. Doing as much as possible with the local resources at your disposal is essential and the challenge he has been working. This resulted in Resourcefully, one of the first companies fully focused on the smart integration of renewable energy, flexible consumption and e-mobility for Europe’s city transition. Resourcefully has advices over 100 companies and offices on complex energy and mobility transition issues in situations where grid congestion is a huge hurdle. With the municipality of Amsterdam Hugo realizes projects for avoiding network congestion, smart integration of energy for e-mobility, V2G and the urban transition. Important work consists of the scaling up of Flexpower3 to Amsterdam city-wide scale and the EU-funded projects Drive2X and RESCHOOL.
