I joined EDF Energy in 2010 to help setting up the UK Research & Development Centre, having spent eight years with UK Government Agencies managing energy innovation strategic programmes. In the UK R&D Centre I have also led an international team developing innovative programmes in B2B, Connected Homes and Smart Cities. In France, as International Programme Co-ordinator for EDF Group R&D, I have really enjoyed working with several Group entities and I’m particularly proud of the ‘Smart Factory R&D roadmap’, delivered to inform a business driven B2B research and innovation programme. Before moving into management and leadership roles, I have put to use my Research Degree in Physics and PhD in Mechanical Engineering working extensively on data acquisition, transformation, analysis and visualisation at the University of Sheffield and the steel manufacturer Corus. I’m passionate about people and I value teamwork and curiosity. I’m also passionate about the ocean and I try to spend most of my holidays diving.
