Colin Sausman is independent Chair of the Alternative HAN Forum, the organisation through which GB Energy Suppliers are working together to increase Home Area Network (HAN) coverage under the GB smart metering design. Colin has held a range of senior roles in regulatory organisations in Great Britain and Australia, most recently as Ofgem’s Partner for Retail Markets and Research. Since leaving Ofgem in 2013, Colin has been providing consulting advice to a number of energy sector organisations, including his role as the primary adviser to Ireland’s Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) on the policy design for its National Smart Metering Programme. Colin has been Chair of the Alternative HAN Forum since Spring 2017.
