Amit Gudka is Co-founder of Bulb, a community of energy generators and energy consumers. Bulb uses technology to bring them together in the most cost-effective way.
After reading mathematics at Cambridge University, Amit spent 8 years trading European gas and electricity for Barclays. It was here that Amit discovered the need for a new type of energy supplier that would help consumers use less energy while also having a positive environmental and social impact. In 2014 he decided to leave Barclays and apply his in-depth knowledge of wholesale energy markets to set up Bulb, alongside old friend and Co-founder Hayden Wood.
Amit’s focus is to ensure Bulb is a driving force in securing a sustainable future where the majority of energy is generated from renewable sources, and everyone is able to use less of it without sacrifice. Amit is also a keen music fan and founded a record label called ManMakeMusic in 2006. He can be found playing cricket most Saturdays for his local team, the BLCC, in and around East London.
